Minutes
The meeting was convened at 7:15pm at the Vashon Chamber office. Present were: Board President James English, Vice-President Lyman Houghton, Treasurer Nan Hammett, and Secretary Steven Macdonald. Director Macdonald chaired the meeting. The agenda is attached as the last page of these minutes.
Announcements
We have received a W9 form from Ecology to with IRS.
Director English will work on a news release.
Review and adoption of minutes from prior meeting (1/15)
The minutes were adopted without modification.
Draft 5 of work plan
Kathy Seel has informed us of a possible additional $100,000 of PPG funding. The Board discussed possible budget scenarios, and their impact on our workplan.
Process for selection criteria for contract awards, Pre-proposal conference 2/28
The RFP and timeline were discussed.
Financial affairs
Bills for ads for the RFP were discussed: DJC = $86.40; Ticket = $100; Beachcomber $110.40. The Land Trust room rental for the 2/28 pre-proposal conference will be $35.
Kathy Seel has informed us that we can submit a maximum of one reimbursement request per month and a minimum of one per quarter. Three forms and a progress report are required.
A plan for opening a checking account was discussed. We would like to be able to set up Electronic Funds Transfer.
Legislative activity: HB-2734
Representative McDermott appears to have been instrumental in the demise of this bill.
VMICC HMRC topics
At its last meeting, HMRC voted in support of IRPPC private fundraising.
