The Institute for Environmental Research and Education (IERE) collects data about the public it serves in order to maintain and improve that service. IERE uses that data to communicate with its public about upcoming events and opportunities that may be of interest to its public, and about services it may provide that public. It also uses that data in an aggregated form to perform legally required reporting, e.g. numbers of people served is reported to the Internal Revenue Service.
